At Willem Baars Projects you can expect to see art from which the ‘noise’ has been filtered and which fulfills criteria of quality that we have formulated with care, based on our knowledge and experience. A radical approach and audacity, the desire to make the unnameable visible and palpable, and a position grounded in a firm grasp of art history, are important quality benchmarks for us. We take a particular interest in art with international appeal and endurance. You won’t encounter passing whims and fancies at our gallery.

We offer a programme of youthful maturity and mature youth. Artists such as Riyas Komu (India), Frank Koolen (Netherlands) and Morgan Betz (Netherlands/United States) are prominent artists in their thirties who are presently attracting considerable publicity and whom we are proud to include in our programming. We have also included more established names, such as Rob Birza (Netherlands), Rob van Koningsbruggen (Netherlands), Joseph Semah (Israel/Netherlands) and Emo Verkerk (Netherlands). Since the Netherlands did not yet have a real ‘follow-up’ gallery we are happy to fill this gap.
